About the Author

GAIL VALESKIE has worked with words as a transcriptionist, proofreader, and coach for high school seniors writing their college admissions essays for the past 14 years, an enjoyable passion of hers. She has previously published Heavenly Deviled Eggs, a cookbook containing 47 pages of different fillings for her favorite snack, deviled eggs. A collector of children’s books herself, this is Gail’s first published children’s book.

When she isn’t writing, Gail enjoys baking and cooking (she reads cookbooks like other people read novels!), playing with her cat, playing the piano, reading, singing, and writing choral music.

Gail lives in Northern California at the foot of the Napa Valley with her cat, Bruce, who proudly wears his M on his forehead!
